LAFC Signs Michee Ngalina From United Soccer Leagues

It was announced today that 21-year-old forward Michee Ngalina was signed by LAFC on an initial loan period from the Colorado Springs Switchbacks of the USL. With the Switchbacks, Ngalina started 20 of 21 appearances while scoring eight goals and eight assists in a total of 1,805 minutes.

In exchange for $50,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM) in 2022, LAFC was able to acquire Ngalina’s priority from the Colorado Rapids. In addition to that, LAFC was able to receive a 2021 International Roster Slot from the Vancouver Whitecaps FC in another exchange for $50,000 in GAM in 2022.

Making his MLS debut in 2019, Ngalina played with the Philadelphia Union and appeared in his first match versus Portland on May 25th, 2019. The Congolese also played with Bethlehem Steel of the USL Championship in 2018 and 2019 and scored 12 goals and 4 assists in 45 total games with 39 starts.

It won’t be long for Michee Ngalina to settle in at his new home as he joins LAFC teammates Mamadou Fall and Mohamed Traore as former players of Montverde Academy in Orlando, Florida.
