LAFC acquires midfielder Omar Campos from Santos Laguna
Announced today, LAFC acquires midfielder Omar Campos from Santos Laguna of Liga MX. Campos is guaranteed throughout 2027 with options for 2028. The 21-year-old will occupy an International Roster Slot and will be added once he receives his International Transfer Certificate and P1 Visa.

Campos joins the Black & Gold after playing for Santos Laguna in Mexico for the previous three years. On January 18, 2021, he made his Liga MX debut for Santos as a professional, going 2-0 against Tigres UANL. In total, Campos has made 114 appearances with 110 starts, scoring three assists and eight goals in all competitions which include two Concacaf Champions League games and 17 postseason contests.
Campos also recently made his debut for the Mexican National Team at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum against Colombia on December 17, 2023. The midfielder made his appearance in the 81st minute.
