LAFC vs Real Salt Lake Highlights – U.S. Open Cup 4th Round
LAFC took the stage in Salt Lake Tuesday night hoping to carry their lethal form in league play into the fourth round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
The long layoff and change in competition hardly made a difference.
Vela continued his blistering goal scoring record with a sly left-footed finish past Nick Rimando in the eighth minute.
It would take until the second half to build on that lead, which LAFC’s free flowing offense did with a nifty dummy run that left Lee Nguyen in behind Real Salt Lake’s defense. Adama Diomande capped off the night with a tap in off the rebound of a deep free kick.
LAFC move on to the fifth round of the Open Cup.
