LAFC vs San Jose Earthquakes Highlights – U.S. Open Cup 5th Round
LAFC proved once again that they are unbeatable at Banc of California Stadium.
This time it was the San Jose Earthquakes, the fifth round of the Open Cup, and after another long layoff.
In an unusual twist, the Earthquakes came out of the blocks faster with a tidy counterattack finish in the 7th minute by Valeri Qazaishvili.
LAFC rebounded later in the first half with a cheeky chip by Rossi after being slotted into the six yard box by Nguyen. Rossi followed that with an assist to Diomande, who broke free in behind the Earthquakes defense and slalomed his way to an open net.
And of course, Carlos Vela got his, too.
LAFC return to league action in eight days with a trip to Colorado to play the Rapids.
