LAFC vs Portland Timbers Highlights

The Portland Timbers have a goal-scoring problem – namely, they keep letting other teams score on them.

LAFC got straight to it, using high pressure to force an error and create an early goal for the second game in a row. This time it was Vela, who picked off a pass from Timbers keeper Jeff Attinella in the sixth minute and walked it back in.

Rossi would get a goal as well, sending the visitors to the dressing room at halftime with a two goal lead.

The Timbers came out firing in the second half and pulled one back in the first minute of play.

But Blessing put the icing on the cake, finishing a play that he started with a cool tap in off a cross from Jordan Harvey.

Brian Fernandez scored a nifty over the head goal in the dying minutes to make things a little more interesting, but LAFC left with three points as they head into Open Cup play.
