LAFC vs LA Galaxy Highlights – Western Conference Semifinals

LAFC hosted the LA Galaxy in the Western Conference Semifinals on Thursday, the first playoff “El Trafico” in an already well-established rivalry between the crosstown foes.

It was one of the wildest games in MLS postseason history.

LAFC leapt out to an early lead when Carlos Vela did what he does best and slotted a goal past David Bingham in the 16th minute. He built them a two goal cushion 20 minutes later with one of the easiest tap-ins he’ll ever see on the pitch.

But this is a rivalry for a reason, and the Galaxy answered back quickly with a goal from Cristian Pavon only a minute later.

Zlatan would equalize in the 55th minute in classic fashion, pouncing a mistake by the LAFC defense and forcing another one from Tyler Miller.

But LAFC was undeniable, and they effectively iced the game with back-to-back goals from Rossi and Dio in the 66th and 68th minutes, respectively. Both teams would snag one more, but the result was long over.

The Seattle Sounders are next up in the Western Conference Finals next Tuesday at the Banc of California Stadium against the league’s finest club.
