LAFC signs defender Lorenzo Dellavalle to short term agreement
Announced today, LAFC signs defender Lorenzo Dellavalle to a short term agreement from LAFC2. The agreement complies with MLS regulations and permits teams to sign players on loan from their affiliate for MLS, U.S. Open Cup, CONCACAF Champions League, Canadian Championship, and exhibition games.
The 19-year-old Dellavalle joined LAFC2 on August 4 from Serie A side Juventus and has played in one game this season for the reserve team for the Los Angeles FC. During that span he recorded 69 minutes.
Dellavalle was recently promoted to Juventus’ Next Gen team after establishing himself as one of the top performers on their U19 team, who just won the Euros. Numerous teams, including LAFC, have taken notice of his excellent performance while playing for the Italy squad.
As LAFC signs defender Lorenzo Dellavalle, the move up is a good chance for the youngster’s future. Dellavalle now has an opportunity to advance his career and shine on the MLS stage thanks to the trade.
