Continuing to be a Force for Good, LAFC July Month of Giving has begun
The Los Angeles Football Club have kicked off the LAFC July Month of Giving by hosting volunteer activities to entice fans to join the Black and Gold in supporting the community of Los Angeles. The annual event aims to encourage a spirit of giving during the summer days.
Throughout the month of July, all fans are welcome to participate in being a Force For Good during the LAFC July Month of Giving as the Black and Gold community gathers to prepare and distribute meals for the greater Los Angeles community and those in need.
Events include a blood drive, a lunch bag assembly event, a food giveaway, and a meal distribution. Check out the full details of each LAFC July Month of Giving event below.
LAFC Blood Drive – Wednesday, July 6 @ 10 am – 4 pm PT
The LAFC hosted blood drive is in partnership with the American Red Cross and presented by Banc of California. Sign up here to be a Force For Good for the upcoming blood drive at Banc of California Stadium.
Lunch Bag Assembly – Sunday, July 10 @ 10 am – 12 pm PT
Presented by Postmates, the lunch bag assembly event is a collaboration between local nonprofit #HashtagLunchbag and the LAFC community and staff to assemble 1,500 sandwiches and care kits. Fresh fruit and Clean Snax are provided at the event by LAFC Partner Melissa’s Produce.
South LA Café Food giveaway – Wednesday, July 20 @ 9 am – 4 pm PT
In order to support families in need, volunteers from LAFC and Golden Boot Partner Delta Air Lines will work with South LA Café to make and distribute meal kits. South LA Café is located at 1700 Browning Blvd.
Community Impact Day – Wednesday, July 27 @ 9 am – 12 pm PT
Over 29,000 Los Angeles County children, women with infants, and seniors with low income will get assistance from members of the LAFC Volunteer Corp provided by Chick-fil-A SoCal in sorting and packing produce. LAFC will participate in the Community Impact Day with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank on 1734 E 41st St.
