LAFC vs Seattle Sounders Highlights

LAFC returned home to play the Sounders on Sunday and it didn’t take them long to get comfortable.

The most potent offense in Major League Soccer came out firing, with Carlos Vela burying one in 12th minute on a gorgeous threaded pass from Mark-Anthony Kaye. Eduard Atuesta then intercepted a pass and finished to put LAFC up by 2 heading into the locker room at half.

The Sounders did their best to make it interesting in the second half. Harry Shipp pulled Seattle back within one five minutes into the half when his defender slipped and he found himself alone in the box opposite Tyler Miller.

But it was all LAFC after that.

Vela made quick work of any hopes Seattle had for a comeback with run in behind the defense a few minutes later, slaloming around Stefan Frei and finding an open net.

But the goal of the match was reserved for Christian Ramirez, who combined beautifully with Kaye and left the entire Seattle defense baffled before slotting it home to put the icing on the cake.

LAFC now travel up to Seattle in a week’s time to complete the home and home.
