LAFC vs Vancouver Whitecaps Highlights

LAFC met their surprise match against Vancouver Whitecaps on Wednesday night in Canada. Vancouver picked up their first win of the season while handing the top team in the league their first lost.

The Whitecaps looked the livelier side from the opening whistle, getting the better of the chances early in the first half. Perhaps that shouldn’t be a surprise, with LAFC making a number of changes to their lineup to accommodate the midweek match to rest starters in advance of their clash with Seattle in four days.

LAFC paid the price in the 27th minute when Ali Adnan muscled his way up the left sideline and found PC, who pinged a looping shot off the woodwork only to have the rebound fall onto the foot of Hwang In-Beom. In-Beom smashed a volley past Tyler Miller, costing LAFC a fourth consecutive clean sheet.

LAFC certainly had chances they’ll wish they could get back, and they peppered Vancouver’s defense for the last 15 minutes, but it wasn’t enough to grab any points in the end.

LAFC return home Sunday and will try to get back on track against the Seattle Sounders.
