LAFC vs Houston Dynamo Highlights
LAFC looked to reassert themselves Friday night against the Houston Dynamo less than two days after being eliminated from the Open Cup.
The night looked like it was going to be rough for the visitors with Houston coming out of the gate fast and hard. Alberth Elis wreaked havoc with his speed, slamming one of the bar just after kickoff. Only a minute later Dynamo broke through with a third minute lead after Romell Quioto welcomed Tyler Miller back with a deflected shot over his shoulder.
Elis almost made it two but for the sensational last ditch effort by El-Munir to clear the ball over the bar at the goal line.
Adama Diomande and Lee Nguyen took over from there. The pair combined for two goals, the first a looping header by Dio to the back post, and the second a clever bit of combo play in the box that ended with Dio tidily slotting it home.
The sides battled until Rossi finally sealed it with a nifty chip a few minutes before the final whistle.
