LAFC vs FC Dallas Highlights
LAFC went into Texas to finish off the second leg of a home-and-home against FC Dallas. Most teams would be happy enough to walk out of an away match with a point, but LAFC is not most teams.
FC Dallas got on the scoreboard first in the 29th minute when Dominique Badji found a streaking Ryan Hollingshead for the opening goal.
It was all LAFC after that, but Dallas keeper Jesse Gonzalez somehow managed to walk away as man of the match.
Gonzalez made a number of spectacular saves, most notably on a penalty taken by Vela. He also managed to swat away a sweet Vela free kick and a Rossi curler that looked like it had destiny on its side.
But it wasn’t enough for Dallas to get the full three points as LAFC managed to draw a red card early in the second half. Playing numbers up, the all-out assault finally yielded a second penalty kick opportunity for Vela, who buried it to salvage a point.
LAFC return home hoping to continue their unbeaten run against Montreal on Saturday.
