A full month of community service will be provided by the 2023 LAFC Season of Giving
Throughout the month of November and December, the 2022 MLS Cup Champions LAFC and Target will partner up for the 2023 LAFC Season of Giving. Together, they invite fans to participate in the hosted events and volunteer opportunities that will bring holiday cheer to the thousands of families and community groups located around the greater Los Angeles Area.
Beginning on Monday, November 21 with a day of service at the Union Rescue Mission to prepare and serve lunch, LAFC and Target will kick off a full schedule of community events for the LAFC Season of Giving.
On Tuesday, the Black and Gold community and staff will work together to serve 500 Thanksgiving meals to preselected families at a drive-thru distribution center located at Banc of California Stadium. With the courtesy of Target, the meals will include fresh turkey and trimmings along with fresh snacks and produce from Melissa’s Produce.
The 2023 LAFC Season of Giving continues into Thanksgiving Day with a pleasant virtual Holiday Toy Drive that’s in partnership with Target and LAFC’s Independent Supporter’s Union, the 3252. Community members can choose and buy items from a curated Target registry for the children of Union Rescue Mission’s Hope Gardens Family Center and Athletes in the Making starting on November 25 and through December 8.
Furthermore, the Black & Gold Holiday Party will take place on December 15 at Banc of California Stadium. The toy drive will come to an end with a volunteer holiday gift wrapping event held on December 12 that’s open to everyone in the LAFC community.
