LAFC2 signs defender Josh Santiago to MLS Next Pro Contract
Announced today, LAFC reserve team LAFC2 signs defender Josh Santiago to an MLS Next Pro Contract. The 16 year old defender has started in six of the 10 LAFC2 matches this season and has played across three games for the U-16 Men’s Youth National Team along with three games for the Mexico U-16 team.
At the age of 12, Santiago joined the LAFC Academy back in 2018 and has played for LAFC’s U-17 for the 2022-2023 seasons where he made 11 appearances and starts with 839 minutes played. The youngster also played in the LAFC U-15 team with 11 appearances and 10 starts.
