The MLS SuperDraft 2023 is finally here

The Los Angeles Football Club has selected two players in the MLS SuperDraft 2023 which included goalkeeper Jassem Koleilat and defender Noah Dollenmayer. Jassem Koleilat (University of New Hampshire) was selected 58th overall in the second round while Noah Dollenmayer (Cal State San Bernardino) was selected in the third round at 87th overall.

LAFC’s first selection in the MLS SuperDraft 2023 was for the 23-year-old Koleilat who played for UNH for two seasons in 2021 and 2022. He made 41 starts and appearances while compiling a 32-6-3 overall record. This past season, Koleilat recorded the second-best goals against average in the country with .427. The goalkeeper played the 2019 season for Iowa Western Community College before transferring to New Hampshire. Between 2016 and 2018, he also played in the youth academies of Stade Lavallois in France and AC Sparta Praha in Prague.

LAFC’s second selection went to the California native Dollenmayer, who is also 23 years old and played three games for CSU San Bernardino in 2022 and at CSU Fullerton in 2021 where he made 12 starts across 16 games and recorded one goal scored. Prior to his CSU Fullerton enrollment, the defender played at Oxnard College where he contributed to winning the 2018–19 Conference Championship.
