Designed by Adidas, LAFC 5 Year Anniversary Kit is a fresh look
The new primary jersey for LAFC has been unveiled in the LAFC 5 Year Anniversary Kit, “5 Years Strong”. Developed by the popular sports apparel company Adidas, this new primary black jersey will be worn by LAFC at home for the 2022-23 MLS seasons.
While using the traditional black and gold trims, the Black & Gold have added something new to their LAFC 5 Year Anniversary Kit as the 2022 jersey pays reference to the club’s inaugural season home uniform with increased Art Deco patterns. The “5 Years Strong” jersey has a gray Art Deco pattern across the front side and on the sleeves.
The iconic LAFC crest is centered on the chest of the LAFC 5 Year Anniversary Kit, followed by the Adidas logo on top with sponsor FLEX Power Tools on the torso. The Target logo is printed on the right sleeve shoulder while the MLS logo is patched on the left sleeve. The trademark Adidas stripes extend from the neck alongside the top of the shoulders. Overall, the look is elegant and holds a deep meaning in regards to the “5 Years Strong” motto.
Keeping in line with the LAFC tradition, the gold neck tape inside the jersey continues to display the LAFC’s “Shoulder to Shoulder” rally cry that unites its supporters and pays homage to the principle on which LAFC was formed alongside its community and local partners.The new jersey also includes “Los Angeles” printed on the back under the jersey’s neck.
In celebration of the LAFC 5 Year Anniversary Kit, all fans in attendance for the first 2022 LAFC regular season match will be able to enjoy music, carnival activities, and prizes, along with refreshments in the Beer Garden for those 21 and over. In collaboration with FLEX Power Tools, fans who purchase a jersey at the stadium can visit The Flex Zone, where there will be a professional photo op, food from Postmates, and coupons for free jersey customizations from Target (while supplies last).
