Ride in style with the new LAFC California license plates
The Los Angeles Football Club has partnered with the California Natural Resources Agency to introduce LAFC California license plates, which fans can now buy to support the state’s Outdoors For All initiative which aims to increase outdoor access for all Californians.
“LAFC is one of the most exciting teams in professional sports and their fans are becoming world famous,” said Wade Crowfoot, the California Natural Resources Secretary. “A specialty license plate lets LAFC fans show their support while raising funds to help expand parks and open space for all Californians to enjoy. This new license place is a winner for everyone.”
LAFC is now the first Major League Soccer team in the state of California to have created a custom license plate. By the looks of it, the design retains the traditional California signature, but done in black instead of the classic red. Featuring a gold background and the LAFC emblem on the left side of the plate, the LAFC California license plate is sure to turn some heads, as well as some nods from the Black and Gold community.
Funds raised from the sale of the plate will go toward expanding access for all Californians to state parks and cultural and historic sites. The LAFC Foundation and the Club’s community outreach programs will each get a share of the money raised.
The first 1,000 fans who order a LAFC license plate will receive a complimentary limited edition 2022 MLS Cup Champions commemorative LAFC license plate frame to display on their car. Each set of plates can solely be used with a California registered vehicle. The LAFC license plate frame can be freely used without regulations.
