LAFC Signs forward Danny Trejo to MLS contract

Announced today, LAFC signs forward Danny Trejo to an MLS contract. Details of the deal have not been made public.

“Danny has developed in our system and we have enjoyed seeing his progress since we drafted him,” said LAFC Co-President & General Manager John Thorrington as LAFC signs forward Danny Trejo. “He has shown ability and character deserving of this MLS contract, and we look forward to his continued contributions as we enter a critical time in our season.”

Trejo made his MLS and LAFC debut this season in the 73rd minute of LAFC’s 1-1 tie against the Seattle Sounders after signing short-term loan deals on June 18 and again on June 26. In that match, Trejo made a play that resulted in an equalizer by Cristian Arango.

In 2022, Trejo played 31 minutes and made two appearances for the Black & Gold. For the Las Vegas Lights, the USL affiliate of LAFC, Trejo appeared in 22 games with 19 starts and 10 goals scored.
