LAFC vs New York Red Bulls Highlights

LAFC welcomed the New York Red Bulls to their sacred home turf on Sunday and it looked like things were quickly getting out of hand for the visitors.

LAFC got off to an early two goal lead with goals in the 23rd and 25th minutes from Jordan Harvey and Latif Blessing, both created from the right hand side of the pitch.

But New York came roaring back, answering with two goals of their own before the half to equalize.

The second half was all LAFC, though, with Atuesta drawing a penalty that Vela finished off and Segura heading home a second Vela free kick almost identical to the one Harvey scored in the first half.

After struggling for most of the year to convert on set pieces, LAFC headed two Vela free kicks home.

The big story of the night for LAFC was Carlos Vela, who somehow finished the game with two assists and a goal despite having his version of a quiet night. He’ll be looking to carry that kind of form into Salt Lake next Saturday.
