LAFC vs LA Galaxy Highlights

This LAFC vs LA Galaxy rivalry is BONKERS.

After a losing to the Galaxy (*ahem* Zlatan) 3-2 back in July, LAFC hosted the Galaxy looking for revenge.

They wouldn’t quite get it.

Zlatan opened the scoring in the second minute after Cristian Pavon left a number of LAFC midfielders in his wake and slotted Ibrahimovic into the box for a one-touch finish.

Blessing answered ten minutes later with a backlist header after a nice build up from LAFC.

Then Zlatan Zlataned with one of his trademark casual, rip your heart open, Zlatan goals, finding himself behind the defense and embarrassing Tyler Miller to create an open net finish.

One minute later Pavon got one of his own.

Four goals in the first 16 minutes.

With their work cut out for them, LAFC got to business. Blessing picked up a loose ball behind the defense in first half stoppage time to cut the deficit to one goal.

And Carlos Vela would get his, too. Just after the second half of play resumed, Vela and Mark-Anthony Kaye combined to open up space for Vela in the box. True to his form, Vela slotted it home for the equalizer.

Vela was subbed off with a hamstring injury eight minutes later. No news yet on his status going forward.

Despite a last chance by Zlatan, the match ended in a draw. LAFC host Minnesota United next Sunday at Banc of California Stadium.
