LAFC vs FC Dallas Highlights – March 25, 2023

Bend it like Bouanga — The Black and Gold stay undefeated following a 2-1 victory in the LAFC vs FC Dallas matchup at BMO Stadium on Saturday night. Forward Dénis Bouanga came up in the clutch with a tremendous goal in the 84th minute. LAFC are now standing in third place in the Western Conference right behind the Seattle Sounders.

The goal was Bouanga’s third for this 2023 MLS season. The Gabon-French winger is on absolute fire right now, but he wasn’t the only one who contributed on the offensive end of this game. Midfielder Timothy Tillman struck first blood immediately at the start of the first half with a goal in the second minute of the match past FC Dallas goalkeeper Maarten Paes. This was Tillman’s second goal this season.

Down 1-0, FC Dallas was in search of equalizing the match and did so in the 73rd minute when Nkosi Tafari followed up a cross from teammate Sebastien Ibeagha with a sideways kick that was taken straight out of a kung-fu flick. The score was his second career goal for FC Dallas.

Then came Bouanga just ten minutes after Tafari’s score. Bouanga was able to locate a corner kick from Carlos Vela  that went long and took a shot from the left side of the penalty area. The ball went through both FC Dallas’ Paes and forward Collin Smith and drove right into the net.

With a perfect record at home, LAFC will travel out to Colorado to face the Rapids on Saturday, April 1 at 6:30 PM PT.
